Hymn to Artemis

                  I

Silvery blush of sunless sky
dyes black bruised blue

Lustrous night's virgin halo,
timid brows glow anew

Laughing girls dance circles
Unbroken, she draws true

To you Fair Goddess night falls
In dulcet sways of modest hue.

                II

Night wanes and stills hearths
as heavy eyes seek

Huntress' heart, sure as her eye,
Hones e'ery point's peak

Margins are plots for prey whose
Throats are stopped with ink

For you Fair Goddess we fall
On white fields, quarry for dream.
